What to Pack

Please ensure you bring all personal daily necessities, as Japanese hotels and ryokans generally do not provide
disposable toiletries. Essential items include comfortable walking shoes, modest attire for temple visits, swimwear for onsen facilities, one warm layer for cooler evenings, sunscreen and skincare products
in containers of 100ml or less, and any personal or habitual medications.

Please note that air conditioning in public spaces and vehicles throughout Japan may vary. Japan experiences four
distinct seasons — lightweight breathable fabrics are recommended for summer, while spring and autumn may require layered clothing. UV exposure can still be intense, so sun protection is advised
year-round.

Required Documents

  1. A valid passport with a remaining validity of at least 6 months and 2 or more blankpages.
  2. A return flight ticket within your visa validity period (electronic copy accepted).
  3. Your hotel booking confirmation — we will send this to you in the concierge group chat the day before departure.
  4. Japanese Yen or equivalent cash — please carry at least ¥100,000 JPY or USD$650 (or equivalent in any other currency) on your person at all times. Japan remains largely cash-reliant, especially at traditional establishments and local markets.
